Learning is
Common
Wisdom
Is rare
It started out when we were young
A well-meaning teacher waging her tongue
We learn useless stuff to pass a test
And leave our interests unaddressed
Look around how it came out
Over half of us are big and stout
Philosophy, art and what to eat
If taught at all are incomplete
All facts are in hand and completely free
The curious ones will learn with glee
