Thousands of mornings have come and gone

I've been up for hours and it's not even dawn

Reading and writing catching up on email

The same as most mornings in every detail

The wood stove is glowing my coffee is hot

I plan all these books and never do squat

But today will be different

It will be really magnificent

I will write and write way into the night

It will flow like a river that goes out of sight
